Rock under ice
animation, dance: Lisa Roberts
Sydney 2009
Gestures: Yoris Everaerts
data stimulus: Dominic Hodgson
image stimulus: Fred Elliott

As a warm-up activity,
Yoris draws a spiral
as he moves through the studio space.
He then moves,
to the voice of scientist,
Dominic Hodgson,
who describes how layers of ice
can be read like a book
of Earth's history.

As Yoris moves
to the scientist's voice,
as he also observes a drawing
by Fred Elliott,
of a nunatak, or mountain top,
protruding from the ice.
