rock
Westfold Hills, Thursday 27 th. January 1954
The land is sodden, covered in boulders of every kind of rock - typical moraine. No plant growth at all visible except for rock lichens. The lakes are brackish, the hills gently sloping and continue for about ten miles before the ice slope begins and leads into the distant white skyline.
