If we all thought the same

One of the difficulties of the human brain is understanding other human brains. (I have a memory of Richard Dawkins (?) saying this on Radio National some years ago.)

Some literature on different mind modes:

An article by Deborah Hope (Weekend Australian, 2008-05-25; 40): Log in and blow you mind.

Mark Haddon’s novel, The Curious Incident of th dog in the night-time (2003)

Rob Siedle’s self-help book, Philosophy you can use (2007).

Last night’s words of my house mate physicist, describing ‘mad’ numbers thatdescribe ‘reality’.

.

How limited we would be if we all thought the same way. Sometimes we can, if we’re lucky or are forced too, get a glimpse of other views. We can sometimes find connections with our own. How different the world would be if we could see it from all other perspectives. Perhaps it would be all too much to bear.

But how limited we would be if we all thought the same.
