Antarctic scientist (chemistry), designer and materials conservator Janet Hughes helps with project planning and making whales. Janet presented the animation ‘Seeding Treaty’ in at the HASSEG conference in Ushuaia on behalf of me and Maddison. Janet’s conference paper was on Indigenous connections to Antarctica: contributions made to an early Antarctic expedition by two Norwegian Sami, and other Indigenous peoples’ connections to Antarctica.
