Sydney artist, Ingrid Dernee (whose art work appears on the poster above), staged an extraordinary event last night to celebrate World Environment Day, and to promote Climate Action Newtown (CAN).
Aboriginal artist, Elaine Russel, gave us a Welcome to country before a screening of film, slides, and animations. Two members of the band, The Lurkers, played at interval.
My animation, Antarctic Energies, was well received. A marine biologist present recognised all its creatures.
