Doctors tell us my father has days or weeks, rather than months, to live.
My brother and I are packing for London, for his big send-off.
During WW1 he was a radio operator on ships carrying munitions in the South Pacific.
He played guitar, sang, and practiced French for the times spent in Tahiti with Elyse, his French-Tahitian lover.
I said goodbye to him last Christmas. He barely knew me. I don’t know what to feel.
